The fed material blocks fall on the grate bar screen, the small material blocks fall to the lower part of the casing through the grate seam, and the large material blocks slide along the screen surface to the rotor. A blower with a certain height is fixedly installed on the circumference of the rotor, and the rotor is driven by a motor through a V-belt to rotate at a high speed. The material pieces falling on the rotor are impacted by the high-speed rotating plate hammer, gain kinetic energy and hit the counterattack plate at high speed, then rebound from the counterattack plate, and collide with the material thrown by the rotor in the crushing zone. The space formed by the bar screen, the rotor, the counterattack plate and the chain curtain is called the impact zone; the space formed by the counterattack plate and the rotor is the second impact zone. After the materials are crushed by mutual impact in the impact zone, they then enter the second impact zone and are impacted and crushed again. The crushed materials are discharged through the discharge port at the lower part of the casing.

One end of the counterattack plate is hung on the casing with a live chain, and the other end is fixed in position with an adjusting bolt. When a large piece of material or a fragile object is sandwiched between the rotor and the counterattack plate, the counterattack plate is subjected to greater pressure and the counterattack moves backward.

The gap adjustment can be adjusted mechanically or hydraulically, and the hydraulic adjustment system can be used to conveniently complete the gap adjustment through the on-site operation button or the distance control system.

The wear of the hammer of the impact crusher only appears on the side facing the material.
